Mission has provided groceries to those in need in our community for more than 70 years.
- A food pantry provides three- to five-day bags of food directly to families and individuals who have a place to live but not enough food. These packages are designed to provide nutritionally balanced meals. Pantries are a key source of emergency food security for the working poor and for those whose food stamp benefits run out before month’s end.
- 38 to 40% of elementary school students in our community are on free or reduced lunches. Our food pantry provides nutrition for non-school hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Providing groceries to our elderly can prevent them from choosing between food and medications.
- Our food pantry serves over 3800 families.

- We distribute 20,000 - 28,000 pounds of food per month.
- Meats and breads picked up each morning from local grocers.
- Non perishables come from community food drives
- Our food pantry is run primarily by volunteers and as an outreach of our church partners
- In addition to our on-site pantry, we have an off-site location at First Baptist Church which is a drive up service, providing convenience to our senior and disabled clients.
- We also have available our “Mobile Pantry” which can serve the outlying community.
- No one is turned away for food, but we will require clients to be assessed after the first visit to continue using the food pantry.
