Volunteer Opportunities:
Thank you for your interest in volunteerting at the Mooresville / Lake Norman Christian Mission. You have already taken the first step in wanting to make a positive difference in helping OUR community.
The Mission provides volunteer opportunities for individuals, families and groups. No matter what your time, talents or size, we have a job suitable for you. We invite you to consider many of the tasks and welcome discussing what the best fit might be for you.

With the support of the community, the Mission can teach our clients how to survive, thrive and become self-sufficient.
The Christian Mission has many opportunities for volunteers. We need help in the following areas (click the category in which you are interested to view details):
- reception desk - answering phones, greeting clients
- administrative - clerical work, data entry, filing
- financial - communications, fund raising, public relations
- stock shelves
- organize store
- sort and organize incoming donations
- pick up donations from grocery stores on weekdays
- receive and sort Second Harvest food deliveries on Wednesdays and Fridays
- help prepare boxes on Mondays and Wednesdays
- distribute pantry on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
- stock shelves
- conduct food drives in your community
- sort and organize large-size donations
- sort and hang clothing donations
- greet donors and accept donations
- administrative support - check messages, return calls and schedule pick-ups of furniture, appliances and oversized donations
- assist with monthly yard sale and auction
- Eagle Scout and Silver Award projects
- Children's Summer Food Ministry
- Back to School Bash
- seasonal activities
